woman wondering what body parts can be sugared

If you’re new to the ancient practice of body sugaring, you might be curious about how effective it is, how it works, or what parts of the body you can sugar. In other blogs we’ve talked about the ingredients of the sugaring paste and how they work to remove hair, and here you’ll find out more about the most common areas to sugar for a hair-free, care-free look!

Where Is It Safe to Use Body Sugar?

Lemon juice, water, and sugar – those are the only ingredients to the all-natural, hypoallergenic sugaring paste we use, which is warmed up and applied to the skin. Because it is so simple and contains no additives, chemicals, or dangerous preservatives, body sugaring paste is safe to use on your whole body, from head to toe, even when you're pregnant. You can even eat it!

This means that you can replace traditional wax with body sugar, and you can often use it in even more places because the sugar does not need to be heated up as much. This makes it a perfect choice for delicate skin that could get burned by regular wax.

What Body Parts Can Be Sugared?

Well, as it turns out…your whole body can be sugared! The paste is soft enough to be applied around joints or curves, but effective enough to remove just the hair and not the layers of skin around it. While you can definitely do the more basic areas, like legs, arms, or shoulders, it’s also a great choice for sensitive areas: eyebrows, upper lip, bikini area, hands, toes…the list goes on!

Can you sugar your face?

You can absolutely use body sugar on your face! In fact, it’s one of the most common areas we do, because the gentle paste and simple ingredients are less likely to cause irritation, hives, or breakouts than wax. Next time you need to shape your brows or smooth out your upper lip, give sugar a shot – you’ll be glad you did!

What to Expect With Body Sugar

No matter what part of the body you’re focusing on (we do them all here at Sucré), the process works much the same as waxing. The biggest differences? There’s less chance of burning, discomfort, or redness. The hair removal is much more consistent, too, because of the way body sugar pulls with the hair, instead of against it. This means less breakage and long-lasting smoothness – a.k.a. a great result and a happy customer (that’s you)

If you keep up with consistent appointments, it also leads to less regrowth over time, and sometimes, even permanent hair removal in tricky problem areas. Now that’s what we call Sucré smooth!
